Since the second game in the series has a different lead character, these nominations are ambiguous. I'm not the nominator of either of these, but here's what I think

- Spouses work together to become power couple/group - This one seems obviously in-scope already?
- Sworn brothers - This seems to be a marriage-like arrangement in societies that do not permit same-sex marriage. Possibly could be broader, as other societies have had this as well.

the trope as I'm think thinking of it tends to be very focused on the "that's MY SPOUSE you're messing with" element which I thought was on topic, especially as it shows up in slow burn arranged marriage fics a lot, but I can't say I really have any ideas on how to reword it?

I don't know if the newness is the salient factor so much as the protectiveness of spouse/proprietary-ness towards spouse.

Spouses work together to become power couple/group

This one is mine, and what I'm thinking of is the kind of marriage where the spouses help each other use the status they gain from the marriage or they combine their resources through marriage to increase their political/economic/career/similar kind of standing.

I was planning to use this for a couple, but I included group in case others want the tag for power group poly marriages. If that's the part that's causing unclarity, I'd be happy for you to delete the group aspect of the tag, and just leave it as "Spouses work together to become power couple".

Or if that still doesn't make it clear, perhaps something like "Spouses mutually help each other gain status from the marriage" - does this wording make it clear enough how it's related to marriage?

If the person who actually nominated it doesn't come back could I request the Magical Diary pairing of Hieronymous Grabiner/Main Character (Magical Diary VN), at least, be changed to Hieronymous Grabiner/Mary Sue (Magical Diary VN) instead of being thrown out? I'd been planning on requesting it.

Oops, I'm sorry, I just saw the post now. If it's not too late, then yes, I do mean Mary Sue for "Main Character" in Magical Diary. I just wanted to use the closest canonical tag.

Argh, I just noticed a typo. "Jacob Fyre/Ned Wynert (Assassin's Creed)" should be "Jacob Frye/Ned Wynert (Assassin's Creed)" (however, if it's too late to change it, I'm sure people will still know who is meant).
