Nominations for Just Married 2020 are open! Find the tagset here: https://archiveofourown.org/tag_sets/4135.

Nominations will close 11:59pm UTC on the 12th of May. To convert UTC to your time zone, click here, adjust the date as necessary, and click “add a city or time zone.”

You may nominate up to 7 fandoms, 7 relationships per fandom, and 10 freeform tags. Mods will approve nominations throughout the time range, and clarification questions will be posted to this community.

For relationship tags, please nominate in the format 'Character A/Character B' for romantic relationships and use 'Character A & Character B' for non-romantic relationships. You may nominate more than two characters in a relationship.

Please disambiguate all relationship tags by adding "(Fandom Name)" at the end. Examples: Jake Peralta/Amy Santiago (Brooklyn Nine-Nine), Confused Male Demon & The Male Prime Minister He Accidentally Possessed (Original Work).

Freeform tags are for trope or situation matching. Examples include: arranged marriage, accidentally married, sedoretu, etc. Feel free to get creative but please aim for clarity. For example, “soulbond marriage” is ambiguous, “marriage with forced soulbonding” is clearer.

Last year's freeforms have been copied over! We recommend reviewing the tag set before nominating. Please also nominate only marriage tropes and situations! Freeforms unrelated to marriage will be rejected.

Specific fandom notes: Based on feedback from last year: All Dragon Age nominations go under Dragon Age: All Media Types. All of the associated movies go under Marvel Cinematic Universe, and all of the associated movies go under DC Extended Universe.

Original Works are welcome. Please nominate under the Original Work fandom tag. If you have specific genders in mind, include those in your nomination. Example: “Female Soldier/Male Assassin (Original Work).”

Crossovers are welcome. Please nominate crossover relationships under the Crossover Fandom tag. List the character name followed by their canon. Example: “Tony Stark (MCU)/Bruce Wayne (DCU).” Crossover nominations that do not follow this format may be rejected.

I nominated some Netflix Marvel TV pairings as Defenders (TV) - does that work? If it's a non-canonical fandom tag, those pairings will automatically synn to MCU; we've had this happen before in some exchanges when using, for example, Marvel TV or Netflix Marvel as the umbrella tag. Or would you rather have them nominated as the individual shows?

I'm happy to go with that, but just so you know, unless things have changed with AO3's back-end synning, anyone who tries to nominate tags under both Marvel TV and MCU (as separate fandoms) will be locked out of their nominations control panel and unable to add new tags once any of their tags in either of those fandoms are accepted, because AO3 thinks these are the same fandom and anytime you try to resave tags (in that fandom, other fandoms, doesn't matter), it gives an error about having the same fandom twice and refuses to let you save. This happened to me and other people in two different exchanges last year.

I'm fine with moving them over - my experience last year was that it doesn't matter if you put them in that way or if the mods move them, it locks you out either way. (The other thing about the Marvel TV tag is that it does not show up under TV - I think it was generally showing up under Movies last year.)

I don't know what the tag with the dash will do, but if it doesn't lock me out and preferably shows up in the TV category, I'm all for it!

This locking-out thing happened to me, too--I'd nominated under both Marvel - TV and Marvel Cinematic Universe, and now I can't edit anything because the system says, "You seem to be trying to nominate Marvel Cinematic Universe more than once." It's okay in my case--I was just going to play around with some more freeforms--but I thought I'd confirm that it's a weird bug that apparently pops up with the Marvel split.
