I love fake/undercover marriage stuff for any kind of professional partnerships, and scary assassins are no different. Whether it’s early years as part of a job, or later on in life when they’re trying to keep a low profile and move on from their old reputations, or anything else that might require pretending to be married for Reasons. Hey, they’ve canonically done full undercover with silly costumes for Psychonauts missions before. Undercover marriage is obviously the next logical step. So, this is a pairing that never caught my attention in any other version of Harry Potter, but every time I rewatch the musicals I'm reminded on how delightful I find them together. It's the one place that you can find Ron comfort Hermione that it's okay she'd not cool like Snape, or see Snape leap into Ron's arms when he's afraid. Every once in a while I'll get hit by a desire for Redfieldcest, and the RE2 remake set it off hard. I really like it a situation where the entire world has gone so badly to hell that they no longer care about the taboo so much as the fact that this is one person they can absolutely and completely trust and who they each want to give as much happiness as they can to around all the plague zombies.

It probably goes without saying, but if you run with the Marriage to Appease an Angry God freeform I was hoping for it to be some other pissed god, I wouldn't want Maui scaring Moana into marriage with his temper. I love her as a force that's able to stand up to him, unawed and unafraid, in spite of being squishy and mortal, and how travelling with him brings out more and more of that inner strength as she faces things no mortals were meant to.

Any time I play this game it's hard to keep myself from wandering into Grabiner's route even if I fully intend to chase somebody else this time. This book is an impossibly fun romance m/m romance novel about a young nobleman kidnapped by a pirate--as you may have been able to deduce by the title. I love it because it has a lot of the good-fun tropes inherent in that premise, updated for more modern sensibilities, and with dramatic runs along the beach and hot sex in a ship's cabin. It's great--even if you don't write for me, you should read it.
The moment I finished it, all I wanted was to read about their completely illegal beach wedding on their happily ever after beach. I'd be delighted with any and all takes on this. Is there angst about Nathanial wanting a wedding and worrying that means he's still in some sense attached to his traditional life? Does Hawk want to find a way to formalize the connection between them to consecrate their new life? Do they want to throw a quiet ceremony, just the two of them, with their toes in the sand on the new island that they're making their home?
I love misunderstandings, angst, and the type of lightly D/s sex that was in the novel. I'd even love if you pushed the D/s even further--one of my favorite kinks is feminization and I think that's particularly loaded with the themes of queerness and being unabashed about loving men in the novel--maybe Nathanial is getting off on the idea of being Hawk's bride and doesn't know how to take that.
In terms of the "Character Surprises Future Spouse with Their Family at the Wedding"--I'd love if Hawk found a way to get Nathanial's sister to the wedding. The novel ends with them thinking that they'll never see each other again and that just seems like it would be a beautiful surprise.

The thing I love about this fandom is how fucking weird an twisted it is. The setting is just phenomenal, with the most glorious creepy set-piece of the aftermath of a flood which is said to have killed 10,000 people. The characters are compelling, deeply fucked up, and with totally dysfunctional relationships. There’s reasons to find each of them completely fascinating for me. Sander has a canonical breathplay kink and we meet him as he is about to be executed, but he’s getting off on the idea of being hanged from the neck. His canonical lover, Jan, always thinks he knows exactly what he’s doing and that he is in control of everything around him. Jolanda grows enormously over the course of the book and really ends up a super compelling character by the end of it. I’m being a little vague here, because I don’t want to spoil it, the next paragraph will definitely be spoilery.
Basically: what if Jan and Sander get married to bring about the sinister implications of the "Belgians" and the evil that is controlling Dordrecht? You can really go wild and weird with this. I would love an exploration of what this evil means and why the symbolic marriage of Sander to Jan, as an avatar of that evil, is important. Is Sander a sacrifice in some way that needs to be consecrated? Feel free to have Jan ritualistically kill Sander. Snuff is one of my favorite things in this fandom. Also, eel fucking. Gimme eel fucking, please.

I love the idea of them as a ship. I love their parallels—shared history of dehumanization, assassin background—and I love the very strong divergences, in that there’s a really important difference between being dehumanized by 400 years of Western civilization and being dehumanized by a magic chair. The only person Erik ever was is this, rage and humor grown up together like intertwined vines. I love that difference between the two of them, what it means for recovery—what does recovery even look like, if you’re Erik? What does it mean to heal trauma, when the trauma is (in part) the last 400 years of civilization?
I love how they’d inevitably butt heads. Bucky, as we see him in Wakanda, has worked really hard to find peace for himself and in his own life. He knows there’ll be a fight, but he seems to be looking for a way to avoid fights, generally. That’s very different than Erik and it is not something that Erik would easily understand. The thing I love about it is that Bucky and Erik can help each other see something true on the other’s experiences and help each other move to a place where they can see past their trauma to a future.
I think being forced together in marriage would be a really interesting way of sparking the interaction that might lead to a lot of personal growth for them both. I could definitely imagine Erik refusing to accept anything but execution, if T'Challa saves him, and the Bucky coming up with another path and offering it. That would be a really interesting moment if Erik is stubbornly set on death and Bucky talks him into trying out a different way of life. I like the idea of Bucky navigating between any expectations T'Challa has about keeping an eye on Erik and a basic loyalty toward Erik himself, a sense that he doesn't deserve to be spied on. Maybe Erik doesn't get to agree, but the Wakandans arrange the marriage amongst themselves because T'Challa really doesn't want to kill them.
A specific thing that intrigues me here is the fact that they're both American in Wakanda. James Baldwin (sorry, stick with me here) discusses how as a Black man in France, he can immediately recognize Americans -- even white Americans--because they are in fact countrymen. They understand the dynamics of race in a way that the non-Americans don't, even if it is in racist ways. That would be at play here, through many layers of difference. There's a sense in which, even through the abyss of anti-Blackness, Bucky and Erik understand each other far better than any of the Wakandans do, because they know (on different sides of the coin) what Blackness means in the United States. How does that affect their marriage? Does one of them quietly, almost secretly, bring in American wedding traditions in the middle of the pomp and circumstance of a Wakandan state wedding?
Feel free to bring in any/all of the Wakandans as other characters in the fic. I love them and I'm fascinated by all aspects of the dynamic.

It’s clear Beatrice is a caring, supportive, and kind person who would make a good romantic partner both from the glimpse we get of her in Adam’s AU future and from their brief relationship in the present. I really think had Adam given their relationship a chance, he and Beatrice would've ended up married again. Or had Adam chosen and been given permission to stay in that other version of his life, he would have also been happy.
As such, I’m interested in three possible different ideas. First, I'm curious about Beatrice and Adam’s wedding in that reality. There are several ways you could go about that. Whether you'd like to write a fic that shows the wedding happening in real time, or one where Doctor Tom sends 'our' version of Adam to experience it/some part of it, or a story where Adam owns up to Beatrice that he’s missing a significant chunk of their life together and asking her about it.
A second option if Adam were to have stayed, would be for him to ask Beatrice to marry him again. Does he come clean about the truth about why he needs this vow renewal upfront or does it come out later? Does he try settling for a half-truth option like amnesia or does he try explaining about time travel and end up in trouble with therapists?
Or feel free to do a canon divergence for Beatrice and Adam’s present day relationship instead, where Adam doesn't break up with Beatrice to pursue Erica. Does any of Adam’s family attend the wedding or reception and is there drama or tension there? Is Adam still struggling with feelings and his self worth even on his wedding day? How does Beatrice help him with that?
In all three cases, I’d be interested in how Adam proposed, as well as any and all elements of the wedding, whether Adam is enthusiastically in charge of the wedding flowers, and whether any other aspects of wedding planning spark joy for him despite not being a guy who normally celebrates things.

I have shipped Iggy/Martin from the moment we met them and I was so relieved when “Code Silver” repaired some of the damage to their relationship, and also reminded them how deep and strong their love for each other is.
I know the children-related tags can't apply to Iggy and Martin’s wedding because they hadn't adopted yet. Also, given everything that went down with Iggy’s family deciding to be unsupportive that Iggy and Martin's wedding was probably a bit bittersweet, you're free to explore some of the more somber aspects even though I’ve picked super fluffy tags. I am however hoping for something that focuses on the love and joy between them in choosing to commit to each other, even if the path wasn't entirely smooth.
I’d also be super excited to see some sort of vow renewal or recommitment ceremony or second honeymoon for them once things have settled down emotionally for Iggy. Both Iggy and Martin deserve time to celebrate themselves and each other and have a great time. If you want to include their kids in any part of that, I love it because this family is utterly adorable.
Max Goodwin/Alice Healy:
I did not expect to fall for Max and Alice’s relationship like I did but I love everything about them together and I want them to be able to go on healing together and thus I want you to please undo the heartbreak that was their “maybe we should just be friends; this isn't fair to our daughters” conversation in “A Matter of Seconds”.
I'm good with just ignoring that took place and writing a wedding that took place relatively close to canon, or you writing a scenario where they stay friends and get back together, or a story in which they reunite and are more ready to get married at that time. Whatever circumstances bring them to their happily ever after, I would love it if Bobbie and Luna get to be involved in the proposal or ceremony.
If you want to skip over the logistics and straight to the joy I'm here for that too. Tell me about the sort of big day they’d throw. I'm very happy to drown in plotless romantic and/or wedding fluff.
That said, no matter when they get married I’m sure both Max and Alice will be thinking about their last weddings and their late spouses. So don't feel like you can't address that or incorporate it into the story.

They carry out a seemingly joyless relationship - it's mostly how much it irritates her that he has structured his life around a football team, though she's never shown having any hobbies or interests at all - for several months and Sarah gets pregnant (failed condom). There's a lot of arguing about whether he's mature enough to be a father, whether she's planning to terminate the pregnancy, etc., and at the end, Arsenal finally wins the championship. In the celebration, Paul and Sarah reunite.
WRONG. The person Paul's clearly meant to be with is Steve - and not just because Paul is played by Colin Firth and Steve is played by Mark Strong. Partly because the premise of the movie is flawed; devotion to something is not necessarily a sign of immaturity, and also not a strictly masculine failing. (It's clear that Sarah objects to Paul's fannishness because its object is a sports team, but I wonder how different it would be if he were fannish about a band or an author or a filmmaker.) But mostly because Paul and Steve are genuinely close - they hang out regularly, have shorthand/inside jokes with each other, borrow clothing from each other, and are brothers in that peculiar sorrow of having your team disappoint you time and again.
I'm not saying you need to rewrite the movie to excise Sarah. What I'd really like is post-movie fic in which Paul (who's resigned from the school and is looking for his next job) and Sarah (who's keeping the baby) don't make it work and Paul ends up raising the kid with Steve. I'd like to see the bumps in the road as they transition from friends to lovers to family - surely it can't all be smooth, and I leave it up to you to decide who's aware of his feelings for the other one first, and which one made the first move - but would very much appreciate a happy ending.

More: What I love about this show - aside from the cast - is that Brody and Jenny fall sincerely in love and that's it. Love is an actual goal in the world of the show, and we get to see how it builds and grows and is maybe threatened every once in a while without being in real danger. And the sho-w managed to write them as individuals who kept their personalities even while they were becoming a team. The bit that really hooked me was in a very early episode (ep 3 maybe?) in which Jenny says she hoped they'd bring out the best in each other, not the worst, and for the rest of the series you can see how much they're both changed for the better by each other. I'd love to see what happens next after the proposal with which the series ended. I'd also like to see Threepeat bonding with Brody - they've already spoken openly about their love for each other - and I think the biggest problem Mansfield would have would be deciding whose dad he's standing in for. They had me at “gimme-my-coin-dead-wife”-flicks-him-into-wall. I adored every second of the snarky road trip, not to mention the upped shippiness in S2. They’re both such assholes and so fascinating, even if they start to mellow toward each other a bit, and all the gods/magic/resurrection stuff swirling around them begs to be explored further. Also I love love love how their dynamic is about equal parts spikiness, pathos, and humor. Plus she’s half his size yet can and does beat him up with literally one finger, and then there’s the angst of he having killed her, feeling really guilty about it, and then bringing her back, and then the S2 ending of course. In terms of ship dynamics, I love (where it fits the characters) banter, competitiveness or antagonism shading into attraction (this tension need not be resolved), oh-god-why-did-it-have-to-be-you-what-did-I-do-to-deserve-this, bickering yet loving couples, faithfulness, characters who are serious about their romantic interests, characters who think they are much better at flirtation than they actually are, characters forced to work together only to prove much more compatible than they initially assumed, fics which mix an exploration of characters’ professional and everyday lives with shipping. A dynamic I cannot resist is shipping a couple who are incompatible in some important way (they are ideological enemies, cop and criminal, spies from opposite sides, one betrayed the other or they betrayed each other), and while they love and want each other they’re also not willing to change sides or surrender/compromise their identity for the other’s benefit, and how they might (or not) make their relationship work anyway.
I don’t have any very specific likes for smut, other than smut fitting the characters – show me how their canon dynamics spill over into the bedroom (or other place of congress). I also like sexual scenarios that subvert expectations a little and surprise the characters themselves. And I like sexual scenarios that contain an element of competition, antagonism, oh-god-this-is-a-bad-idea-but-we’re-going-for-it-hammer-and-tongs, not wanting to admit feelings or show vulnerability except oops it happens anyway, or just people getting way more into it or being more affected by it than they thought they would. You also can’t go wrong with we-both-wanted-this-for-forever-and-now-we-both-know-it-so-here-we-go-diving-in-headfirst. Oral, vaginal, anal incl. pegging, manual (ifyouknowwhatImean) – it’s all good. You can go as veiled or as explicit as you like, but please avoid excessive medical jargon – I don’t find a lot of mention of “penis” or “clit” sexy.

This show snuck up on me – I don’t usually watch sitcoms and did not expect it to become as charming and insightful and gentle with its characters (especially Eliza) as it turned out. I love Eliza and Henry’s dynamic and how it somewhat inverts gender stereotypes – sure, Eliza loves being a girl, but she’s also quite crude, laddish, and unabashed about her partying ways, whereas Henry is a gentleman as well as fastidious and quite prissy at times. I liked how the show’s slightly larger-than-life approach made them funny without ever mocking them, and the more poignant moments (Eliza’s too-hasty come-on, followed by both she and Henry acting like children) were genuinely moving. Feel free to lean into the canon's wackiness with the marriage scenario! They go on a business trip abroad and take part in a handwavy ritual as part of some tourist thing, they get drunk and inhibitions get dropped, they're in Vegas and stuff happens, welp they're married now guess they'll have to figure out cohabitation... The beautiful production values, the wonderful cast, how the characters develop, how the show slowly but surely unfolds one reveal after another and packs so much into two short seasons, all the period detail, the genuinely tense action scenes, the moments of humor and intense emotion, the intertwining of political intrigue and zomg! really scary zombies, how the zombie outbreak works on multiple levels both literal and metaphorical… I love all the characters and their relationships, so go ahead and play around with that: hidden or not-so-hidden feelings, socially mandated dutifulness and honor, fuck it it's a zombie war let's get hitched, having to make things work with people you never thought would become close to you, something that diverges from canon or works within the time-skip at the end of S2 - surprise me! Peace with the Haewon Cho clan requires bringing in the young queen (the friction and mutual mistrust in this arrangement need not be resolved), the only way a prince can marry a commoner is if he's outnumbered by the commoners in a four-way marriage, someone or other accepts a sedoretu as the price of marrying their true love and get more goodness and warmth than they bargained for, "we're doing this for His Highness' sake and not at all because we're into it for possibly-intersecting reasons of our own," sedoretu as protection in a land of brigands and zombies, an anti-zombie magic spell requires the sedoretu to power it... This is my OTP and I am always hankering for it. My default AU/background suggestions for shovin' these two characters together tend to be "before Evie could have happened, Ibuki wound up blowing through Dulvey while touring in the West and needing to shack up in the Baker house for a bit due to a transportation/lodging kerfuffle, she and Lucas ended up hitting it off, and Lucas ended up tagging along with her as a roadie or pyrotechnics guy or somesuch when she left town" or "Lucas was once a rival of Miu's for title of Ultimate Inventor growing up in a UTDP-type world, but before she was ultimately chosen, he and Ibuki ended up getting into contact and becoming friends", and the tags are kinda fluffy to reflect the "normal" lives those imply.
