rape/noncon undertones for her hypothetical time at the Turk camp is fine (on the debate of if that’s even a thing, “was rescued before reaching the turk camp” to avert the entire aspect entirely is fine too) but I would not like this to be the focus of the fic (for the purposes of Just Married, I’d accept it being portrayed as either an abusive first marriage or a sexual slavery/concubinage situation!)
I feel like canonical Jin&Li Shimin have emotional infidelity towards their other spouses, which is okay and honestly kind of part of the setting!
If this is a Jin/LSM get married au, then I do *not* want these two to have infidelity in their marriage with each other

- This could be a jump-off point from the past short story; canon Jin & LSM didn’t understand each other’s positions until much later. However, there are several traditional Chinese courting gifts (some of which presumably were actually given during this time frame canonically) so what if they ended up married? How would this AU play out?
Arranged Marriage - Arranged as a Means of Keeping Reluctant Ally Under Control
- This is probably also a historical events AU by fudging the timeline, but what if Jin and LSM get married as an alliance against their common enemies (the Turks and/or the Sui). I think this would work really well in a Pusa-is-older AU! Give him his heart’s desire and free him from the regrets of a lifetime!
- I would prefer if Jin/LSM do fall in love in this though! I think the characters just work together really well and I’d for us not to have palace tragedy like we do in canon.
Established Marriage - Cheated Instead of Fighting Honorably & Now My Wife's Gonna Kick Your Ass
- I saw this tag and instantly went “Xuanwu Gate AU!”
- The commentary on canon with Jin choosing to save Li Shimin at the cost of her own life, her husband’s life, and her daughter’s safety has so many en/yuan notes on top of the general moral philosophy aspects; that makes the potential twists in this freeform endlessly fascinating to me.
- I, unfortunately, do not have many thoughts about this, because the established marriage would change up so much, but would be delighted to read whatever you’d like to write for it!
Royal Marriage - Court Reaction to Unexpected Marriage
- Jin survives AU; as if the sheer morality mess wasn’t already dramatic enough, what if LSM marries one of his brother’s highest-ranking consorts? What about LCG’s position in a court where she’s being rumored to be her uncle’s child again? The Court's reaction would be even more dramatic than in canon or history.
- Ghost Marriage AU; so many potential additional en/yuan notes on top of the morality mess too. The reactions might be even more dramatic than in a Jin survives AU, just on the basis of ghost marriage connotations themselves

Feelings are more implicit in the manga and tangental, what are our characters feeling? Particularly, Sou POV, since Kana isn’t self-reflective at all.
For the canonical, alternative first meeting, sci-fi-future timeline au, why did they get married? What about the cultural expectation of marriage retirement and children? The au is so based on societal speculation, additional commentary over the demographic collapse and misogynic social norms would be very catnip for me!

There are a lot of possibilities for this ship that I like, but I would that I am really interested in stuff set after the movie in a situation where they get to be together. I’m fine with modern AUs, or even setting it in a more-accepting version of the time period. It’s up to you! I’d just love to see more written in this fandom! The historical era has long been a personal fascination of mine, so if you'd like to do something that hews closer to historical fiction, that's cool too as long as it follows all the other stuff. There's a lot of possibilities with a homophobia-free (or homophobia-lessened) AU for alliance marriages here, or politically-unwise friend marriages, but also if you go more based on the time period, stuff where they're married to other people but have a secret affair that feels more like a "marriage" to them.
Given T.E. Lawrence's real-life proclivities, I'm totally fine with stuff that gets kinky so long as it stays away from what's listed in the DNWs. Pure smut/PWP OK.

Fandom-Specific:
Pretty open with this fandom overall... I like stuff in the fandom that tends to delve deeper into the politics of the story, including how they run this world after they win (especially with the Crimson Flower route), but I also like school shenanigans. It's up to you! I generally prefer post-timeskip stories but obviously if you're going the school shenanigans route I get that that makes it hard.
My personal headcanons are that Hubert, Linhardt and Edelgard are gay and everyone else is bi, but you don't have to stick to those if you'd prefer not to (and I'm generally not a huge fan of drawn-out musings on the particulars of someone's sexual identity anyway). I like soulmate AUs a LOT so long as the characters still get some chance to develop feelings organically, whether or not they are already aware of their soulmate status. Stuff where they find out before they are in love and kind of fight it at first, but end up getting to know and falling for the person anyway — that stuff is great. Love it, can’t get enough.

I like all kinds of variations on this relationship, whether a more canon-compliant messy one where -- given that this is a marriage exchange -- they might be sleeping with each other on the side while being married to other people; or a fluffier, homophobia-free AU. It's up to you! The "rape/non-con" part of the DNW is with the caveat that if you go canon-compliant, I'm aware that Alicent's marriage to Viserys is pretty "non-con," and I don't want you to pretty that up; just don't focus on it, focus on her relationship with Rhaenyra.

Succession is generally "I love mess" territory for me; I love these characters being awful people. That being said, my tastes are a little more friends-to-lovers romantic with Stewy/Kendall, after some of the moments between them in the finale got me shipping them. But I prefer things on the goofier, lighter side: them getting impulsively married while drunk, faking a relationship that turns real. Stewy kisses guys on molly! Are any of those guys with us in the room, Kendall?
